Two Losses for the Tigers

Bolivar and Middleton fell in non-district games on September 7, dropping both their records to 1-3 on the season.
Bolivar scored first against the Harding Academy Lions on a Jalen Crisp 76-yard run, but gave up 33 unanswered points and fell 33-20. Crisp ran 12 times for 123 yards and a touchdown for Bolivar. Omar Jones ran for 75 yards with a touchdown and shared the Vaughan Oil Player of the Game honors with linebacker Terrance Clemmons.
The loss was the first game of the season that the Tigers were outgained, losing the yardage battle 409-308. Freshman quarterback Kyle Lowe saw extensive action in the 4th quarter, throwing a 30-yard touchdown pass to Ryan Crisp.

Middleton fell behind early and trailed 34-6 at halftime before eventually losing 44-14 to Walnut (MS) High School at T.D. Owens Field in Middleton.
