Tigers Suffer Losses Again

A scoreless first half turned into a 21-20 loss for Middleton as they fell to Hollow Rock-Bruceton on September 20. Middleton, who never led in the game, trailed 15-12 after three quarters and found themselves down 21-12 in the fourth quarter. A score and two-point conversion brought them within a point.
Middleton (0-5, 0-2) got the ball back with approximately a minute left, but their final drive ended on downs.
Junior quarterback Luke Turner sat out the game with an illness, and may not return for two more weeks, depending on his recovery time. Backup quarterback senior Tyler Dickey went 5-8 for 61 yards and rushed 11 times for 108 yards. Junior Zyquavion Perry was his lone target, catching all five passes.

Bolivar (0-5, 0-2) gave up a touchdown on Milan’s first play from scrimmage on their way to a 47-0 loss at Milan.
Bolivar did manage their biggest offensive output of the season, totalling 101 yards. Quarterback Tyler Rice completed 5 of 16 passes for 94, with two passes to Rayveon Gibbs for 38 yards. Gibbs was named the Vaughan Oil Player of the Game. Photo by Sarah Rice.
