Tigers Hold Off Crockett County

Bolivar Central (4-2) sprinted out to a 16-point half time lead over Crockett County and held off a late charge to win 62-58 at Alamo on December 4.
“I told the team I was happy at halftime,” said Bolivar Central Coach Rick Rudesill. “We were executing on defense. But I also told them that they (Crockett County) would find a way to get back in the game if we weren’t tough. “
Bolivar, who shot 11 for 11 in the first half from the free throw line, struggled in the second half, going 10 for 19.
“Our players are in the gym everyday, putting up shots. We can shoot free throws. This just seemed to be a confidence problem down the stretch.”
Bolivar fell 70-66 to Jackson South Side on December 3. Jeff Norment led the Tigers with 20 points.
