Tigers Fall to Westview

Bolivar Central and Middleton head into the bye week hoping their fortunes change for the final two games after dropping contests on October 11.
Bolivar Central (1-7, 0-4) scored two touchdowns in the final 2:26 of the first half to pull within 10 points, but failed to score in the second half, falling 42-12 at Martin-Westview.
The Tigers scored their first touchdown of the night on a Rayveon Gibbs 17 yard run, then capitalized on a missed field goal, with Gibbs running back the miss 90 yards as time ran out in the first half.
The Tigers got the ball to open the second half, but their drive stalled in Westview territory.
Gibbs caught two passes and was the leading rusher for the Tigers in the game, earning the Vaughan Oil Player of the Game honors. Bolivar will travel to Chester County on October 25, and finish the season at home against South Gibson on November 1.
