Tiger Stadium Work Begins

Woody Woods Stadium in Bolivar was turned into a pile of rubble last week as work began on the new Bolivar football stadium.
The field itself, named after R.A. Butler, will remain in the same place.
“The old stadium has a lot of character, but a lot of flaws. We’ve repaired it over the years many times,” said Hardeman County Superintendent of Schools Warner Ross. “We’ve had to do a lot of belt-tightening over the years, but we can now go forward without having to do any financing.”
In March, work will begin in Middleton on a new gymnasium for Middleton High School.
