Sweetees, Ponytails fall short of goal

Both Bolivar Dixie Youth teams fell short of winning their respective state tournaments, with the Bolivar Sweetees losing both of their games, while the Bolivar Ponytails were 2-2 in their tournament.
The Bolivar Sweetees traveled to Summertown for their state tournament, where they played on Friday, July 10, and Saturday July 11. On Friday, Bolivar faced a familiar foe in Chester County, losing a heart breaker 18-17. On Saturday, Bolivar was pitted against Atoka, who handed them a 19-13 loss and knocking them out of the tournament.
Bolivar finished the tournament with a record of 0-2, and was 3-4 total in the All-Star season.
The Bolivar Ponytails traveled to Lexington where they played Friday, July 10, through Sunday, July 12. On Friday, Bolivar started off their tournament with an dominating 16-3 win over Joelton. On Saturday, Bolivar played back to back games, losing to Adams 8-1in the first game.
