Sain Earns All-America Scholar Award

Jon Sain of Bolivar and Union University, was named a Division II Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar for his performance in the past season for the Bulldogs.
Sain, who had three top-10 finishes, took third place at the Cumberland Phoenix Invitational and had a low round of the season of 67 during that event leading his team to victory.
To earn the award, a golfer must have at least a 3.2 GPA and a scoring average under 78.0. Sain averaged 77.0 for his 22 rounds and was one of two Union golfers to play in each round of the season.
Sain is the only player from Union to achieve the All-America Scholar status and is listed on the Union golf roster as the lone senior returning for the 2017-2018 season.
Sain is the son of Jackie and Deana Sain of Bolivar and is majoring in Business Management.
