Nothing could be finer than to be in Carolina in the morning

Wrong! I disagree, Tennessee is the place to be. I’m visiting Moma Hoot in the low country of South Carolina (on the coast). Dear season is full blown open down here. Although I haven’t checked the current regulations this year, in years passed it was a no buck limit opening on August 15 through January 1. Hunting over bait and with dogs is legal. Yes, they get doe tags.
I was successful turkey guiding,  getting two with a Chevy pick-up truck, made the insurance book, not record book. Checked with the squirrel whisperer, Larry Joe, the numbers at the time was 80 DAF (dead after fall).  By the time you read this, could be 100.
But any who, I’ll be back soon and 100 percent of my attention will go to the duck blinds. Thanks so much to the guys that helped, only had one episode with Mr. No Shoulder’s (it didn’t go his way) but we got a lot done. The annual Labor Day Dove Shoot was so-so, everyone got a little shooting.  All-in-all, Labor Day and the activities was great.
Ya’ll be safe.
