New Faces for the Tigers

Fresh faces will have to get the job done in 2021-2022 as Bolivar Central begins their season will an all-new starting lineup.

The Tigers, coming off their first appearance in Murfreesboro in a decade, return only one part-time starter in Andtrayvin Stewart and no double figure scorers from last season.

Leading returning players in scoring are junior guard Jamarion Anderson, who averaged 7.0 points last season, followed by Stewart at 6.8.

And while Anderson and Stewart played in almost all the games last season, only Jamarion (11 games) and Robert Pirtle (10 games) played in ten games last season for the Tigers of the returning players.

First-year Head Coach Cameron Crisp says he isn’t worried about the inexperience.

“I just want these young men to compete and play hard this year. If they do so the wins and losses will take care of themselves,” he said.

The Tigers, whose 18-man roster has nine seniors, begin play at Haywood County on November 16.
