Middleton Wins Battle of Hardeman County

Middleton and Bolivar teams faced off for the first time in the 2021 season on the volleyball court, with Middleton winning 3-0, with game scores of 25-17, 25-11, and 25-19.

For Middleton, Avary Adams had 2 aces and 26 assists, Delaney Byers had 2 aces and 6 kills, Ally Davis had 3 aces and 5 kills, and Marnina Smeltser had 3 aces and 14 kills for the Lady Tigers.

The two teams will play again on September 27 in Middleton.

Bolivar, who began their volleyball program in 2013, has never defeated Middleton.

Bolivar Central and Middleton  High School will play each other in three other sports this season, including basketball. Basketball between the schools was added to the schedule this year for the first time since 2009.

The schools will compete in softball, baseball, and basketball this season. Bolivar Central and Middleton High School last played football in 2002.
