Middleton Stays Unbeaten

Middleton got 27 points and 6 steals from senior guard Telvin Polk and 24 points and 17 rebounds from junior forward R.J. Robinson as the Tigers beat Fayette Ware 71-62 at Middleton on December 7.

“It was a big ballgame,” said Middleton Coach James Burkley. “The kids responded well.”

Burkley said it started with defense and credited the entire team, especially Polk, with a big effort.

“Anytime we get defense from him, we play a lot better. He can do so much with disrupting their offense. And we knew we had to play defense.”

The Tigers are now 5-0.

In the girls game, Middleton fell 67-21 to fall to 1-4 on the season.
