The Middleton High School boys basketball team raised their record to 4-1 with 72-42 thrashing of Trinity Christian on December 6.
Over the past two seasons, Middleton had split the contests with the Lions and the two teams had split the last two District 15A championships.
Leading the way in the win was point guard Rodrigeous Robinson who scored a game high 26 points, which included five three pointers.
The Middleton Lady Tigers fell 75-70 to Trinity, their first loss in district play since December 3, 2013 when Jackson Christian beat them 60-56. The loss on to Trinity broke the Lady Tigers 35-game regular season win streak the league. Middleton now stands at 3-2 on the year.

Also on December 6, Kamya Brown, Haley Hardaway, and Alexius Futrell each had 18 points as the Bolivar Lady Tigers won 70-32 over Jackson North Side. Bolivar is now 5-1 on the season.
In the boys game, Bolivar staged a comeback from 11 points down to take a 69-68 lead with a minute left, but could score no more as North Side beat the Tigers 72-69. Christian Clark led the Tigers with 15 points, while Paris Taylor had 13 points and 5 rebounds. Bolivar (0-6) remains winless on the season.
