Middleton’s Hoop Dreams End

A two-week run that included district and regional championships came to a finish on Monday, March 5, as the Middleton Tiger boys basketball team fell 84-56 to Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering (MASE) at Bailey Howell Gymnasium in Middleton.
Tylandarius Parks, who was named the District 14A MVP in both the regular season and tournament as well as the Region 7A tournament MVP, led Middleton with 15 points. Parks ended his career with 1,582 points.
MASE got 37 from Areoro Gipson, a 6-6” LSU signee, hitting 15 field goals, including two three pointers and was 5-5 from the free throw line as well.
Middleton ends the season at 25-5, losing in the substate game for the second year in a row.
