MHS football woes continue

The Middleton Tigers football team started the season on a high note, but has struggled as of late, losing their second game in as many weeks, 61-7 on the road at Adamsville, on Friday, October 23.
Adamsville scored three times in the last half of the first quarter, and twice in the second quarter to take a 34-0 lead at the break. The melee continued in the second half, and Adamsville scored twice in the third quarter and twice in the fourth quarter for a 61-0 lead before Middleton finally got on the board with 4:33 left in the game when Keon Pipkin hit Trae Anderson for a 30 yard pass followed by the extra point from David Lor to make the final 61-7.
For the second week in a row, the Tigers had almost no running game, netting only eight yards on the ground. The Tigers fared better in the air, as Pipkin was 11 of 24 for 174 yards, also throwing three interceptions. Leading receivers for the Tigers were Bradley Sullivan, who had three catches for 61 yards. Anderson had two catches for 57 yards and Middleton’s lone touchdown, while Dylan Stewart had three catches for 43 yards.
