Looks Like We’re Gonna Play Ball

With the opening of the economy and relaxation of the Stay at Home order by the State of Tennessee, the Bolivar Lions Club plans to get going with baseball and softball, hoping to begin seasons in May.
“We will open up the sign-ups again,” said Baseball Commissioner Bobby Hensley. “The earliest we could begin play would be the third week in May, but it may have to start the fourth week.”
If the league were to begin in May, it’s possible they could complete play in time to compete at Southaven, MS, in the Dizzy Dean World Series. Dizzy Dean has not altered their schedules, still posting early July as beginning dates for softball and baseball World Series play.
Hensley added meetings would be scheduled to organize as soon as it was feasible.
