Lady Tigers Fall in Region Championship

The Middleton Lady Tigers will face Dresden for the third consecutive season in the sub-state on Saturday night, looking for their third consecutive trip to the state tournament in Murfreesboro.
This time though, Middleton will have to go on the road to get it done. The Lady Tigers fell 63-55 to Trinity Christian in the Region 8A final game. Middleton was led by Chelsey Perry with 26 points and was named to the All-Region team along with Sequoia Warren for the Lady Tigers.
Dresden beat Huntingdon on February 28 by a 45-42 score. The last two seasons, Dresden came to Middleton and lost in their bid to go to the state tournament, 73-50 in 2016 and 59-40 in 2015. WMOD Radio will broadcast the game.
