Generals struggle during losing streak

The Jackson Generals are facing their longest losing streak of the season after falling to the prospect-laden Chattanooga Lookouts for the second time this season. The Generals were shut out 13-0 by the Lookouts on Sunday, June 7, at home after all four of the Generals pitchers took to the mound in an effort to pull the team to a competitive game, but were unsuccessful.
The Lookouts came out swinging and scoring immediately in the first inning with four runs in the first and they never slowed down. The Generals continued to fall behind throughout the game.
The Lookouts’ Byron Buxton put the ball on the bat and singled to lead off the team before a double by Jorge Polanco put both players on base. Miguel Sano drove in an RBI base hit and Sano would also cross the plate later in the game as the result of a wild pitch.
All four pitchers for the Generals struggled as each gave up three runs.
