Coach Lowe Takes Job at Lausanne

Bolivar Central Head Football Coach Woodrow Lowe told his team on April 15 that he accepted the job as the Defensive Coordinator at Lausanne Collegiate School at Memphis for the 2019 season.
Lowe said his experience at Bolivar Central High School will always be special to him and his family.
“It has been an honor to serve as the Head Football Coach at Bolivar Central High School over the past five seasons. Hardeman County was one of the first places we visited when our family moved to the MidSouth more than seven years ago, and it’s always felt like home. The Bolivar community welcomed us with open arms, and we are forever grateful. All three of our boys grew up around the school and my oldest is a proud BCHS graduate. I’m excited about the direction the football program is headed and that wouldn’t be possible without the hard work of the players (current/past) and coaches, as well as the support of the teachers, staff, parents and community. I am truly thankful for all the support, and I look forward to what the future holds for the Tigers. We will always consider ourselves part of the Bolivar family,” he said.
Lowe leaves Bolivar with a 25-28 record, including taking Bolivar to the playoff for three consecutive seasons, a first for the Tigers since the 1990’s. Bolivar’s best season under his watch was 2016, when the Tigers went 8-3, the most wins the program had posted since 2008.
Lausanne was undefeated in the regular season in 2018 and finished 11-1 after losing to Christ Presbyterian School in the State Division II-AA Playoff semifinals.
