Bolivar Wins Fourth Consecutive Championship

The Bolivar Middle School Boys basketball team overcame a fourth quarter deficit to defeat Fayette West 49-41, winning their fourth straight Area 6 Hardeman County Middle School Championship.
Making the all-tournament team were MVP Telvin Polk of Bolivar along with teammates Courtney Polk, Tyron Allen, Jamerion Anderson, and Travin Stewart. Also making the tournament team was Austin Cossar of Hornsby, Kylan Turner of Toone, R.J. Robinson of Middleton and Troy Turner of Whiteville.
The girls championship game was won by West, who defeated St. Marys 35-17.
Making the girls all-tournament team were Kendall Adkins from Hornsby, Candice Crews from Bolivar, and Desiree Cross and Azureka Dennis from Whiteville.
