Bolivar ladies get pair of no hitters against Fayette-Ware

The Bolivar Lady Tigers finished their final home stand of the season with a pair of no hitters against Fayette Ware on Thursday, April 23, winning the first game 18-0, and then taking the second game 17-0.
In game one, Bolivar needed only two innings to finish off Fayette-Ware, with the Lady Tigers scoring all 18 runs in the first inning. Laura Kate Blackwell pitched a no hitter and was also a perfect 2-2 at the plate. Other top batters for Bolivar were Lisa Russell, who was also 2-2,  as well as Becca Fulghum and Shelby Jimmerson, among others, who got hits in the game.
The nightcap was a repeat of the first game, with Bolivar scoring all 17 of their runs in the first inning. Mason Strope was the winning pitcher in the game, throwing a perfect game. Just about every player for Bolivar got a hit in the game.
