Bolivar Golf Begins 2018 Season

Bolivar Central Golf has played twice in the first week of school, both at Hardeman County Golf and Country Club.
On August 9, the Tigers and Lady Tigers faced McNairy Central, falling in both matches. The Tigers were led by Dayton Rowland with 42 over nine holes. The team got 50 from Tyler Pierce and 52 from Claydon Spain. Cody Vales and Drew Ubelhor both shot 57. On the girls side, Libbie Smith led the Lady Tigers with 49, while Alora Lax had 57.
“We’re a young team,” said Coach Jordan Stack, “that has to get into the grove of playing high school golf.”
On August 13, Bolivar’s boys, led by Dayton Rowland at 44, finished third against Lexington and Chester County, while the girls finished second, led by Libbie Smith at 49.
Bolivar is scheduled to face Lexington and Chester County on August 16 at Pinetree Golf Club in Lexington.
