Bolivar ends five game skid with win over McNairy Central

The Bolivar Central Tigers got back on a winning track last week with a 5-3 win over McNairy Central at home on Tuesday, March 31.
McNairy got on the board first, with one run in the top of the first inning, but  Bolivar took command in the bottom of the first, when the first three batters for the Tigers, Kaleb McKinnie, Trae Hobbs, and Hunter Hart, all landed on base with singles Trey Lowe was up next and on his fourth pitch, fired a grand slam home run to give the Tigers a 4-1 lead. Lowe would also have a hand in Bolivar’s only other run, when he doubled to left field, scoring Tyler Farris in the third. McNairy Central scored twice in the fourth, but it was not enough.
“We had some outstanding hitting today from Trey Lowe,” Bolivar Head Coach Mark Fulghum said.
