Bolivar Central holds Homecoming reunion
Homecoming… As a high school student this is a word that brings excitement, a week of games, getting out of class and for some its the last big event together as friends. This week Bolivar Central had their homecoming game facing the Hamilton Wildcats. This year’s event was unlike any that Bolivar has seen in the past. Though the students enjoyed the week, this also marked the Class of 1976 40 year reunion.
Bolivar Central had planned the game which was sure to draw a crowd, however this would be a different crowd. The 40th Reunion was marked with even bigger thrills. What started as a small dance, soon grew to a larger than life reunion. Thanks to the creation of social media, many classes connected with one another. The small dance tuned into a generational reunion of Bolivar Central. Classes from 1976 through the present were seen all over the school grounds. The event resembled much like that of a college tail gate party with people grilling, listening to music, and playing corn hole games. They were from many generations, yet all had one common goal.. to watch their loved alma mater play ball, and play ball they did.
