Bolivar Baseball and Softball End Regular Season

Bolivar Dizzy Dean Softball and Baseball named all-star teams and handed out awards in ceremonies signifying the end of the season on Thursday and Saturday.
The only league in doubt was settled on Saturday, with Star Physical Therapy beating Joe’s Restaurant for the title. The two teams tied at 10-3 for the year, but Star won two out of three meeting between the two. Star, coached by Josh Tranum, Justin McMahan, and Ryan Zawacki, began the year 0-2, but won 10 of their last 11.
The Dizzy Dean Baseball World Series is scheduled for Southhaven beginning July 20 for the 8U team and on July 22 for the 6U, 10U and 12U teams. The 9U team will play a tournament schedule and finish with a three-game series against the Germantown Dizzy Dean 9-year old all-stars July 8-9.
The Dizzy Dean Softball World Series for all age divisions is scheduled for Greenbrook Park in Southhaven, MS the week of July 13-18, according to dizzydeanbbinc.org.
