Anderson Gets to 1,000 Points

Bolivar Central Senior Forward Jamarion Anderson hit a 22-foot three pointer from the right wing in the first half of Bolivar’s 88-54 win over Walnut (MS) High School on December 29 to get him to 1,001 points in his varsity career. Anderson finished with 25 points on the night.

Bolivar Central Head Coach Cameron Crisp, a member of the same 1,000 point club, said the guard earned it with hard work.

“I was glad he got it early tonight and then settled down and helped get the job done,” said Crisp of the win, which puts Bolivar 5-5 heading into the district season.

Anderson scored 189 points his sophomore season and 560 in his junior campaign before getting to the milestone in only his 10th game of the season, with a 27 points per game average and a total of 1,019 for his career.
