Teacher receives grant

Melissa Norwood, Algebra 2 and Geometry teacher at Fayette Academy, received a grant in the amount of $350 from the Fayette County Education Association.  She plans to use the grant to purchase materials to enhance instruction in her classroom, including various 3-D models and equipment for students, and she is especially excited to purchase much-needed compasses for use in her Geometry classes and a conic section model for Algebra 2.  She is pictured receiving her grant with Fayette Academy headmaster Ron Canada.
