Students gather at The Columns in Bolivar to take pictures

A night to remember

April 18 was an ordinary Saturday night for most, but for the Bolivar Central students, it was a night full of glam, fame, and dancing.
Bolivar Central High School held their annual junior and senior prom on April 18 at Woodland Hills in Cordova. The theme was Diamond and Oak Ball. Hundreds of students and their dates dressed up and attended the event. With a live entertainment DJ, chocolate fountain, and professional photography, there was no limit to the fun the students could indulge.
At 8:15, the seniors began the Senior Walk, which is a slow decent down a flight of beautiful stairs, allowing each senior to be individually recognized. Carly Weems and Kyelin Walker won prom queen, and Kaleb McKinnie and Deitrick Mason won prom king.
Student Jessica Johnson commented on the prom, saying, “It’s like the one night of the year where you can actually feel and look like a princess.”
