Journalist visits Bolivar Middle School

The Bolivar Middle School (BMS) After-school Enrichment Class enjoyed a visit from journalist Amelia Carlson of the Bolivar Bulletin-Times on Tuesday, March 24.
The class consisted of 22 seventh and eighth graders who work on various types of writing throughout the year.  This school year, they have been publishing a school newspaper.
“Writing is a part of life and is essential to most professional careers,” said Carlson. “Journalism is a passion of mine and I love being in the media. More importantly, I love teaching others about the field and why it is important.”
