Hardeman countain receives doctorate of education

Sandra Elaine Cheairs graduated from Walden University this summer with a Doctorate Degree in Administrative Leadership for Teaching & Learning. She celebrated with family and friends on October 3 at the Old Country Store in Jackson.
Dr. Cheairs gives God the glory for blessing her to accomplish her goals. She also expressed gratitude and love to her husband, Jeremiah for his support during the journey. At the celebration, family members had expressions and she presented Jeremiah with a plaque with words from her book “Perceptions of Parental Involvement among Rural Parents, Teachers, and Administrators”. The plaque stated: Thanks to my husband, Jeremiah, for being my teacher of patience and cheerleader of love.
Jeremiah and Sandra are the proud parents of two sons and one daughter-in-law, Jermaine Cheairs (UTK/Senior) and Jeremy and Terahne Cheairs from Nashville. Sandra is the daughter of the late Junious Mctizic and Azie L. Mctizic of Bolivar.
Presently, she is employed by the Hardeman County School System and a member of Zion Temple Community Church. Her future goals are to pursue other areas within the education field.
