Farm Bureau Essay Contest winners

The theme of “What is a Farmer” essay, sponsored by the Hardeman County Farm Bureau, winners were announced. All three winners were from Hornsby School. The seventh graders from across the county were eligible for the county contest.
First place winner of $100 was Landon Hannis, son of David and Amy Hannis.
Second place winner of $60 was Kenley Mitchell, daughter of Beverly and Keith Mitchell.
Third place winner of $40 was Haley Kati Wilmoth, daughter of Abbie Wilmoth.
Tammy Murrel is the seventh grade language arts teacher at Hornsby.
The county winners is entered in the state contest where, winner will be announce April 17. First prize for the state is $700.
