Band students participate in the U of M Honor Band

On February 5 nine Fayette Academy band students traveled to the University of Memphis to participate in one of the University’s 2015 Honor Bands. These students were selected from hundreds of applicants from Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas to participate.
These young instrumentalists spent Thursday and Friday rehearsing several musical selections with clinicians from Tennessee and Arkansas, and were treated to a banquet dinner on Friday evening. They performed a concert at the Rose Theater on Saturday, February 7.
