Lady Tigers Win Sectional

The Middleton Middle School Lady Tigers beat teams from Obion County in the semifinals and finals to advance to the TMSAA Class A State Semifinal on February 11 at 6:30 p.m. against Oneida Middle School in Oneida at Rockvale High School.

The Lady Tigers overwhelmed Ridgemont 54-32 in the final behind a stifling defense and 30 points from Harmony Bell. In the semifinal, Middleton beat Lake Road Middle School 48-38 as Bell scored 31 points.

Middleton began the tournament with a 40-20 win over Lake County and a 56-14 win over Douglas.

Win or lose, Middleton will play February 12 at 10:00 a.m. for the championship or third place.

Middleton is undefeated on the season.
