Forest Festival Arrives

The midway opened on September 14, officially starting the 58th Tennessee Forest Festival, and the 35th time it has been hosted by Hardeman County.

Hardeman County Mayor Jimmy Sain said he was glad the event was able to come back after taking 2020 off for COVID-19.

“I’m very excited for the Tennessee Forest Festival and Fair to come  back in Hardeman County this year. We have contracted a great fair with very clean and professional food vendors and rides. To top that off with a Christian- operated rodeo, demolition derby, professional wrestling and loggers competition adds up to a great week of entertainment for the county. We thank our many sponsors. The sponsorships have allowed our committee to offer a $10 admission with all of the rides and events free. I invite everyone to come out and enjoy the festival.”

The Tennessee Forest Festival began in 1949 in Grundy County. Hardeman County hosted it for the first time in 1957 and became the permanent host in 1978 until 2007. The event was dormant from 2008-2017 but made a comeback in 2018.
