The Bolivar Rotary Club cooked and sold 1,000 chicken halves on September 30, raising money for scholarships and other programs they sponsor.
The chicken weekend is the biggest yearly fundraiser for the Bolivar Rotary Club.
Rotary is an international service organization whose stated purpose is to bring together business and professional leaders in order to provide humanitarian service and to advance goodwill and peace around the world.
There are 34,282 member clubs worldwide, and 1.2 million individuals, involved in the activities of the organization.
