Field Trial underway

The 2016 field trials of the National Championship for Bird Dogs are under way. Beginning with the Field Trial Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies at the Bird Dog Museum in Grand Junction and followed by the trials at Ames Plantation, this will be a busy week for dogs, owners, and handlers from across the United States and Canada. Overflow crowds attended the morning and afternoon award ceremonies on Saturday Feb. 6. A total of seven dogs and ten individuals were inducted in the Class of 2016. Fourteen Life Patron and Memorial plaques were also presented. The Museum, shown here, was dedicated in 1991 and is site of the annual award ceremonies.
