Bolivar Middle successfully defends title

The Bolivar Middle School Tigers won their second straight Area 6 Middle School Tournament title on Thursday, Jan. 28, with a 42-36 win over Fayette East at the Bolivar Middle School Gymnasium, the site of this year’s tournament.
The Tigers earned their way into the Championship game with a 40-25 win over Toone on Thursday, Jan. 21. Jatavius Dotson was top scorer for Bolivar with eight points. Mason Arthur was top scorer for Toone with five points.
Bolivar followed that up with a 35-27 win over Middleton in the semifinals on Tuesday, Jan. 26.
