Hardeman County salutes vets
Hardeman County paid tribute to all veterans during a special ceremony and luncheon on Friday, November 6, at the Bolivar National Guard Armory.
The program began with music from the Hee Haw Band, who also sang several selections throughout the ceremony. Members of the Liberty High School ROTC Color Guard presented the colors while Jillian Shackelford sang the National Anthem.
The Keynote Speaker was Brigadier General Tommy Baker, who is the Assistant Adjutant General–Army, Tennessee National Guard.
After General Baker’s speech, First Sergeant Anthony Prince, retired, read a list of all Hardeman County World War II veterans who were killed in action. To view more, please log in or subscribe to the digital edition.
