Car narrowly misses DEVCO office

A 1999 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Kiapatrick Ammons, 21, of Bolivar narrowly missed the offices of DEVCO, after Ammons drove up on the sidewalk, and came to rest in front of 116 S. Main St. on Thursday morning, November 5.
According to Bolivar Police Officer Bradley Ross, the vehicle was traveling northbound on South Main St., when Ammons fell asleep and drove off the roadway. The vehicle then struck the curb, drove up the stairs and stopped on the sidewalk. Ammons was checked out at the scene and not seriously injured.
