The Ames Plantation Heritage Festival opened at 9 a.m. this past Saturday. The above photo was taken at 9:30. Several thousand people attended the event and obviously many arrived early. The line of visitors waiting to board the shuttle buses was unending throughout most of the day. Several Fayette County School System buses continuously moved attendees from the parking area to the event and back.
