Church Happenings

SEPT. 30-OCTOBER 11
St. James Episcopal Church in Bolivar is having a drawing for a handmade quilt created by member Patsy Prydie.  It is 80"x80" cotton with colors of pink, aqua and white with a few squares of Scripture verses.  Tickets can be purchased at The County Journal, On The Square Gallery and Gifts, the Hardeman County Chamber of Commerce or any member of St. James Church.  The final drawing will be Sunday, October 11 at 2 p.m. at Immanuel Episcopal Church in LaGrange.  You need not be present to win.  Proceeds will benefit historic St. James Episcopal Church in Bolivar.

174TH SESSION OF THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER ASSOCIATION OF PRIMITIVE BAPTIST 10:30 a.m. each day at Mt. Tabor Primitive Baptist Church, 360 Mt. Tabor Rd., Whiteville.

OCTOBER 3-4
30TH ANNIVERSARY October 3 at 7:30 p.m. and October 4 at 2 p.m. at the Middleton Pentecostal Tabernacle, 560 Neely Rd., Middleton. Bro. Wayne Huntley will be the speaker.

OCTOBER 4
ROGERS SPRINGS HOMECOMING 10 a.m. at 335 Old Rogers Springs Rd., Middleton. Speaker: Malcom George. A meal will be provided after the service. Following the meal will be a congregational singing.

OCTOBER 11-14
REVIVAL October 11 at 5:30 p.m.; October 12-14 at 7 p.m.  at New Union Baptist Church, located at 1635 New Union Loop. Take Highway 18 N approximately 11 miles north of Bolivar. Evangelist Kara Blackard will be bringing the message each night.
