Blackburn meets with constituents in Bolivar
Congressman Marsha Blackburn met with residents of the county in Bolivar on Thursday, August 20 and addressed a wide range of topics from police safety, Planned Parenthood, and the presidential election.
Blackburn said the country needs to stop referring to shooters and terrorists as ‘lone wolf’ because that is not the case.
“We have to lose the term lone wolf. These people are not lone wolves. They’re connected by the internet,” Blackburn said.
Blackburn was also asked to take a stand for police safety and to provide a one minute address to the House of Representatives regarding police safety.
“Our police are in danger every day and the media plays it up as a war. I worry about our police every day. There were 69 policemen killed this year in the line of duty,” Bolivar Mayor Barrett Stevens told Blackburn. “That’s my one horror is that we will lose somebody doing their job.”
