Tarter and friends return to Hardeman County

For the summer reading programs at Bolivar and Middleton Public Libraries, Bob Tarter returned on Friday, June 5, with his animal friends to entertain and educate students as well as adults.
With a full room in Bolivar-Hardeman County Public Library, Tarter presented his “Amazing Aviators” program which taught students about animals that fly. Some children were surprised to learn there are flying fish and flying snakes, although Tarter did not have either. What he did present to the children, however, were his friends which included a flying squirrel, Straw-Colored Fruit Bat, Yellow-napped Green Amazon Parrot, Eurasian Eagle Owl and a hawk.
After visiting with students and adults in Bolivar, he presented the program to a crowd at Middleton’s Public Library as well.
Tarter, founder of NHECM, presents a unique and different program to students across various counties and states annually.
