Jerry Lawler and Helen Stahl

Helen Stahl interviewed for WWE DVD

To most people, a wrestling video is the last place she would expect to see a local well known artist, but not Helen Stahl. Stahl taught a young kid by the name of Jerry Lawler art at Treadwell High School in Memphis Tennessee back in the late 60s.
Lawler would soon come to be known as professional wrestler Jerry “the King” Lawler, and become known as one of the greatest wrestlers of our time. Lawler, who just celebrated his 40 year anniversary in the wrestling business, recently had a three disc DVD/two disc Blu-Ray set come out entitled “It’s Good to be the King, The Jerry  Lawler Story”, which includes a one hour documentary, along with several classic matches. One of the people interviewed for the documentary was Helen Stahl.
“The people at WWE told me that I could have anybody I wanted to on the video, and the first person I thought of was Helen,” Lawler said.
Stahl was driven to Lawler’s house in Memphis by friends Charlotte and Gene Sipes in February for the interview.
