
Generals go 3-2 in home stand against Biloxi
The Jackson Generals won three of five games during their home stand against the Biloxi Shuckers on Monday, May 11, through Friday, May 15.

Jackson got off to a solid start for the week. In Monday’s game, Jackson scored once in the first inning and once in the second, on a home run by Jordy Lara for a 2-0 lead, but Biloxi bounced back to tie the game with two runs in the top of the third. Jackson took the lead for good in the bottom of the third with two more runs, then scored one run in the fifth, one run in the seventh, a home run by Jack Reinheimer, and one final run in the eighth, for eight runs on 12 hits with one error. Biloxi managed one more run in the fifth, and finished the game with three runs on nine hits with one error.
Top batters for Jackson were Tyler Smith, who was three for five, including a double and two runs scored, Jack Reinheimer was 2-3 with a home run, a double, two RBIs and two runs scored, D.J. Peterson was 2-4 with a double and one RBI, Jordy Lara was 2-4 with a home run, a triple, one RBI and one run scored, and Dario Pizzano was 1-2 with a triple, two RBIs and two runs scored.
