Fayette Academy competes in math competition

Students from Fayette Academy competed in the Tennessee Math Teachers Association Math Competition April 14, 2015.  Six schools from all over West Tennessee competed at Freed-Hardeman University in nearby Henderson, Tennessee.  A total of 22 Fayette Academy students in grades 8 through 12 participated in the competition.  
The students represented the Vikings well by bringing home several honors.  William Walker was an individual winner and received a first place medal for Pre-Calculus. Fayette Academy received trophies for best school in the categories of Algebra I, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus.  Sponsors for Fayette Academy are former faculty member, Jane Mitchell, and current faculty members India Winter and Melissa Norwood.  Congratulations to the students and faculty sponsors for their hard work!
