Oils consecrated at Chrism Mass

Several members of St. Mary Catholic Church in Bolivar traveled to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Memphis,on Tuesday, March 31, where the Most Reverend J. Terry Steib, Bishop of the Diocese of Memphis, blessed the various oils used in Church sacraments throughout the year, before receiving the oils to carry back to the church.
According to Bishop Steib, the Chrism Mass has two main purposes.
