Of the 16 million Americans who served in the world’s deadliest war, World War II (WWII), only one million of those are still alive to tell their story. One Hardeman County man became one of five brothers to serve in the war and left the farm fields of Hardeman County to be planted in the bloodiest battle of the deadliest war…and he lived to tell about it.
