Whiteville Flea Market opening soon for business
The Whiteville Flea Market, will open for business on Saturday, January 30, at the Family Entertainment Center in Whiteville at the corner of Hwy. 64 and Union Springs Rd.
The flea market is being started by Andrea Staggs of Whiteville in an effort to draw some of the traffic that travels through Hardeman County on the way to flea markets in Crump, TN, as well as Corinth, and Ripley, MS.
“This is a great location,” Staggs said. “People come through here from Memphis to other area flea markets, and we could get a piece of the action.”
After a vendors meeting on Monday, Jan. 11, brought 17 potential venders, Staggs was very encouraged. She said that she expects at least 20 vendors for the first market, and hopes it will only grow from month to month. For the time being, she says the flea market will take place on the Saturday before the first Monday of each month. Hours are officially 7 a.m., to 4 p.m., but she said some vendors will be setting up and available as early as 6 a.m.
