Voter participation essential for Constitutional Amendments

As voters go to the polls to begin early voting on October 15, they will be asked to vote on four proposed amendments to Tennessee’s Constitution. The burden is high for ratification since a plurality of votes cast in the election for governor is required to amend Tennessee’s Constitution, meaning citizen participation on these proposals is essential.
