THP continuing investigation into fatal crash
Two lives were lost as the result of a car accident in Hardeman County.
“We’re still looking into some aspects of the crash,” said a THP spokesman. He was discussing the 2:30 a.m., Jan. 2, motor vehicle accident on Park Swain, south of Grand Junction in which two young lives were lost. Because this accident was a multiple fatality crash, the Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) is assisting the local THP officers in their investigation. Some of their test results are not finalized.
What is known at this time is the 15 year old male driver of a 2008 blue Ford Mustang lost control of the vehicle which left the roadway, rolled over and struck a tree. A 13 year old male passenger was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected. The driver was wearing his seatbelt. Both were killed instantly.
After law enforcement arrived on the scene and began their investigation, an unidentified 14 year old female arrived in the company of an adult relative. She informed them she witnessed the accident.
